He has been arrested for allegedly raping his domestic maid. The victim claims that the actor had promised to marry her and had been in a physical relationship with her for 10 years. He is now accused of refusing to marry her.

When did the arrest take place?

Malwani police confirmed that they arrested the accused on Thursday, and he is currently in police custody. Mid-Day reported on the matter. The report states that, according to sources, the complainant is a 41-year-old domestic worker who had worked in the homes of various artists for many years before coming into contact with Nadeem Khan.

What are the allegations?

In her statement, the complainant woman said that she met the actor in 2015, and gradually their relationship grew closer. She alleges that the accused promised to marry her and, based on that promise, repeatedly had physical relations with her at her home. She also alleged that she continued the physical relationship with him at her home and his residence in Versova for the past 10 years, believing that he would marry her. However, when he refused to marry her, she contacted the Versova police and filed a complaint in early January.

What did the Mumbai Police say?

According to a police officer quoted in media reports, "The accused's physical relations first occurred at the complainant woman's home, which falls under the jurisdiction of Malwani police, and the victim also resides in the same area. Therefore, the Versova police transferred the case to the Malwani police under a zero FIR." The police are conducting further investigations into the matter.
